 1. Hair Care – There are a-lot of ways that you can use baking soda for purposes of taking care of your hair. The simplest process is to mix water with baking soda. Wash your hair using the mixture. You can incorporate ingredients such as apple cider vinegar also.

2. Run a Bath – Some interesting craft ideas using baking soda include: adding half a cup of baking soda, running a warm bath. As you have your bath, your body will be soothed and there will be a softening effect on your skin.

 3. Facial Scrub – There are plenty of interesting things that baking soda play a part in. For example, you can use baking soda combining it with your normal liquid facial cleanser and make a face scrub. The scrub will take off any impurities on your face and you will be left with a smooth feeling skin.

 4. Soothing Rashes – Did you accidentally/intentionally stay in the sun for too long? Did you accidentally run into poison ivy? Worse, did you go camping and were bitten by mosquitoes? Well, if the answer is yes to one of the above questions, do not panic, baking soda will save your life. Start by dampening a washcloth in a mixture of warm water and baking soda solution. Apply the mixture on the affected area. You can actually make a paste of one part water and three parts baking soda. Just make sure that you don’t use the mixture on broken skin.

5. Antacid – If you are having acidity, take a teaspoon of baking soda, mix it will water and sip it slowly. Your acidity will be gone within minutes.

 6. Cleaning Your Hair Brush – Baking soda can be used for fun art projects such as cleaning the gunk from your hairbrush. Start by removing away the hair and leave the brush to soak in a baking soda solution. Allow the brush to stay in the solution for an hour and use hot water to rinse it off.

7. Softening Cuticles – Start by creating a paste using baking soda and warm water. Rub the paste on the cuticles using a nailbrush that will help you soften the cuticles.

8. Cleaning Shower Curtain – Mix water with baking soda and scrub off all the gross stains that are grossing up your shower curtain. Rinse off the curtain and it will be good as new!

9. Laundry booster – When it comes to doing laundry, baking powder is a perfect product. This is a product that minimizes odours, controls suds, boosts whites, helps the detergent and softens fabrics. You only need to add half a cup on your load and voila!

 10. Deodorizing Carpets – Sprinkle some baking soda on the carpet and allow it to sit on the carpet for an extended period in time. 12-24 hours would be best. Start by sweeping off the large chunks and vacuum the rest. Your carpet will not only be clean but will smell fantastic.

11. Deodorizing Shoes – If you are targeting the source of a nasty smell (feet) its time you deodorized your shoes. Start by pouring baking soda on a piece of cloth, tie the cloth shut and leave it in your shoes overnight. This simple process will absorb the nasty smell.

 12. Remove crayon drawings from the wall – If you have small children, chances are that your wall will be their canvas, instead of worrying yourself sick, simply dip a damp rug in baking soda and use it to wipe off the wall with it. The crayon will come off without any difficulty.

 13. Clean baby toys – Steer clear from chemicals (harsh) and instead use baking soda to clean your baby’s toys. All you have to do is mix the baking soda with water dip in the toys in the mixture and wash them. Air them and your toys will be as good as new!

14. Freshen towels – After using towels for some time, they quit being absorbent and fluffy as they were when they were new. Instead of purchasing new ones, as you run them in the wash, adding a little bit of baking soda. This will fluff up your towels and make them a little more absorbent.

15. Clean shoe scuffs – If you have a huge scuff on your gorgeous shoes after wearing them for the first time, you shouldn’t freak out. Simply mix warm water with baking soda and use a cloth to scrub away the scuff. Wipe the shoes clean using a damp cloth and they will regain their brand new look within no time!

 16. Remove smells from your hands – If you just cooked up a meal of fish, garlic and onions, its best to assume that you have been left with the smell of onions on your hands. To get rid of the smell, simply mix three parts of baking soda with a single part of water and rub it on your hands. After rinsing off the mixture, the smell will have disappeared! Enjoy!!!
