Delicious Zebra Cake

Select four quality eggs. Use a cup of sugar. Prepare a cup of butter 200 g ensure that it settle at room temperature. Fill a cup with milk. Take a full table spoon of vanilla extract. Use three cups of flour. Measure two table spoons of baking powder. A pinch of salt that is enough to fill a quarter tea spoon. Get the chocolate batter. Use three tablespoons of cocoa powder. Another quarter cup of milk. A whole tablespoon of sugar. Grease & line a round cake pan with parchment paper that should be 9” long. Now preheat the oven and make sure it reaches 180 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients, baking powder and flour, salt, now place it aside to settle. Take yet another bowl and mix together cocoa powder with a quarter cup of milk and a table spoon of sugar. Whip the butter together with the sugar till it becomes creamy. Start adding eggs each at a time continue mixing till it is well incorporated. Now you can add the vanilla extract. Switch the mixer to low and gradually add the flour mixture and milk mixing the two till they are well incorporated. Now remove 2 cups of batter and mix them together with the chocolate mixture. Now take a tablespoon for every batter and use it for creating the batter layers on the pan you had prepared before. Start with the middle of the pan, start with the first spoon of white batter and over it add on to it a spoon of chocolate batter. This is a process that should be repeated until when all the batter is used up. If you lack the patience that is required to make the layers, simple add one batter on top of another and use either a fork or knife to create swirls and a marbled effect.

 Time to Introduce the Oven

Place the mixture in a pre-heated oven and let it bake between 50 minutes to an hour. You should take the cake out only if the tooth pick you insert at the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and set it aside for twenty minutes for it to cool down. You can set it upon a cooling rack before removing it from the pan. After the cake has cooled down, you can either decide to serve it as it is or decide to top it with chocolate glaze. Fortunately, you can serve a zebra cake on its own or with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee….
