DIY Broken Crayons Into Lovely Color Block Candles

Fun art projects don’t have to cost a whole lot of money not cost you a lot of time to churn up interesting things. Thanks to the internet, you can now come up with useful ideas to create wonderful craft projects. Craft ideas are increasingly being used as an avenue of creating unique products. Today we focus on practik ideas of turning broken crayons into beautiful color block candles as opposed to tossing them away…

 Materials needed: Popsicle sticks wonderful for stirring purposes / A couple of Dixie Cups / Candle Wicks / Different colored Crayons / Votive (s) / Candlewax.

 Necessary Tools: For propping up dedications get a plate stand / Functional Microwave.

 Process: Start by pouring a minimal amount of wax inside one Dixie cup. Put it in the microwave and let it run for a minute or so. After the wax melts, take it out of the microwave, stir it and pour it into thin layers at the votive bottom. Place the candle wick at the middle. Allow the mix to harden before you let the wick go.

 Crayon Preparation: If you have a Xacto knife, you can use it to skin the paper off the crayons. If not, use an ordinary knife. Make sure that you make use of a single crayon for every colour. Fill up the Dixie cups with wax. Top the cups of with broken crayons. Place the cups inside the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Remove the mixture, stir it and put it back in the microwave for another 3 minutes.

 Votive: Start propping the votive (s) using the wicks. Prop them on the plat stand and proceed to pour in colored wax. The aim of this step is to develop angled layers of color. Allow the first layer to dry between 30-40 minutes. Turn votive (s) around. Pour in the second layer allowing you to form yet another angle. Allow it to dry between 30-40 minutes. Place the votive flat on the space you are working on and prepare to pour in the 3rd layer. Allow the third layer to dry off for an hour or so before you light up the candle. Your DIY broken Crayons have turned Into Attractive Color Block Candles!
